First Bata Conference, May 16-18, 2001
Basic information on the First Bat'a
Conference in Zlin (May16-May18) can be found at the official conference website <www.bata-konference.utb.cz>.

informs about the immediately preceding TQM conference "Quality 2001" in Ostrava
as well as on the interaction with the Bat'a conference. Both conferences are in alliance,
so we have a "double" conference, sharing some speakers and participants. The
new Tomas Bat'a University (Univerzita Tomase Bati) will be inaugurated. Registration
forms and terms are available at bata-konference website and can be downloaded. One can
also register electronically at the website and receive return acknowledgment.

Registration fee is 4190 Kc (Czech crowns), i. e. about US$110.
(For participants from educational institutions 3090 Kc.) Includes proceedings, coffee,
two lunches, all sessions. There is 300 Kc ($8) fee for a social evening. ("Quality
2001" in Ostrava has different fees, but the transfer from Ostrava to Zlín is free
to registrants.) The payments can be transfered to Komercni Banka (KB):

ON-SITE registration.
Accommodations can be arranged by the organizers, per request.
Foreign participants presenting papers are guests (all expenses paid, except travel) of
the conference.
