Last Reminders for Congress Participants

We have been getting recurrent requests about the bus transportation from Prague airport to Ceske Budejovice and about the availability of the Congress registration materials.

The bus which will transport the Congress participants from Prague to Ceske Budejovice is scheduled to leave from the Prague airport at 10 AM. There will be signs upon exiting the airport, so you won't miss it. This transportation is for those participants who requested it and paid for it as part of their pre-registration.

Regarding your registration materials,.including tickets for various events, and information about your accommodations, they will be available for you to pick up at the Congres Registration Desk at the University of South Bohemia (USB) in the Bldg. "Bobik" (Studentska 800/15). The Registration Desk will be open on Sunday, June 25 after 12 o'clock noon

Your dorms, as well as university cafeteria, are next door.

All academic panels, which start on Tuesday AM and will continue until Friday noon, will take place in the USB Biology Faculty Bldg., Branisovska 31 - which is walking distance from your dorms.

The ceremonial opening of the Congress and other events, including the afternoon Plenary session) on Monday, June 26, will take place in the City Kulturni centrum (Cultural Center ) "Bazilika," Prazska 1247/24. The concluding Plenary session on Friday afternoon will also take place there.

Congress participants who are interested in purchasing genuine Czech gifts, should take the advantage of the exhibit of Bohemian glass figurines which will be available for sale next to the Registration Desk for wholesale prices.

There will also be available for sale collections of Selected Papers from the SVU World Congress at Palacky University(2004), a CD featuring Iowa SVU Conference Papers (2003) and another CD containing revision of SVU Biographical Directory.
